Charnley Fold Activity Day Centre Bamber Bridge

Our Charnley Fold Activity Day Centre is enjoyed by the over 55’s, those living with memory loss and also those with dementia.

The environment at Charnley Fold is one of light and space and incorporates a garden designed specifically for people with dementia, enjoyed by everyone who visits.

The centre has professional, skilled and experienced staff with specialist support on site such as an occupational therapist as well as other key specialist staff.

Examples of some of our activities;

  • Creative arts and craft
  • Woodwork
  • Quizzes
  • Music and dancing
  • Sewing, knitting and crocheting
  • Exercise and relaxation
  • Gardening – Gardening Gang

Throughout the day we have a robust cleaning schedule and the day centre is then deep cleaned at the end of each night. This protects both our staff and your loved ones, keeping everyone safe whilst still being able to provide this essential service.

“Dad loved the table tennis marathon today at Charnley Fold, what we hadn’t told you is that dad played table tennis professionally in his youth and his memory of playing came flooding back, however his body isn’t quite as nimble at it used to be. A hot soak in a bath was in order. Best day he has had in years, well done”.
