    Started a business at the age of 60

    Aged 69
    Julia has always loved baking, turning 60 she started to become depressed about her age. After some encouragement from her family Julia decided to open her own cafe and bake for the local community. “I have never felt better, my confidence has grown and turning 60 was the best thing that has happened to me in years!”

    Performs at his local every Friday
    Aged 76
    Tommy, who has always loved music, never explored it as a career when he was younger focusing on meeting his wife and providing for the family. Now happily retired Tommy is focusing on doing what he loves and has not let his age stop him from staying up and dancing with the ‘young ones’ till the early hours.

    Completes extreme fundraising challenges
    Aged 83
    Awarded Queens medal for her contribution to fundraising in Chorley, Pat is well known for her extreme fundraising challenges for charity. She recently climbed Mount Fuji, went dog sledging in the Artic and built toilets in Peru.
