Work with us – join our Board
Regenerage’s Board is seeking to appoint an engaging, connected and forward-thinking Chair to lead the charity forward into its next strategic chapter. In addition, new Trustees are sought to consolidate and grow the diversity of experience, skills and thought of our established non-executive leadership team.

Regenerage is 44 years old this year and this is an interesting and challenging time to join our award-winning enterprise. The charity has been delivering support and services to those aged 55-plus since 1981, during which time we have led the way in essential and innovative care support for those most in need in Lancashire.
Regenerage is at an exciting and challenging stage of its journey. We have established a new strategic plan with ambitions to extend our current service delivery, and build on our existing successes in elderly live well care, dementia care, and our income-generating trading activities. In 2024, we rebranded to enable our aspirations.
We want a dynamic and diverse Board of Trustees to enable us to identify and achieve our next strategic priorities and policy directions, and to add value to the ambitious Senior Leadership Team. Much has changed since Regenerage first opened its doors; we have continuously evolved to meet the changing needs of our clients, and we take great pride in our proven ability to adapt, and our visionary and entrepreneurial approach to ensure we are effective within our community.
We are guided by our values, and it is important that you share our values and model them in your thinking and behaviours.

Role of Chair of the Board of Trustees
The Chair will hold the Board and Executive Team to account for the charity’s mission and vision, providing inclusive leadership of the Board of Trustees, ensuring that each Trustee fulfils their duties and responsibilities for effective charity governance. The Chair will also support the CEO, ensuring that the Board functions as a unit and works effectively with the Executive Team to achieve agreed objectives. They will act as an ambassador and public face of the charity in partnership with the CEO.

Role of Trustee
Regenerage is also seeking to expand its existing Board by recruiting new Trustees to add strength in depth across a number of key specialist areas. The role of Trustee is varied, stimulating and rewarding, knowing that you are contributing to a well-established and highly regarded charitable enterprise. Individuals are sought who can commit to the ambitious vision, aims and values of Regenerage as it works through a period of change whilst contributing actively to the Board’s role in giving strategic direction to the organisation, setting overall policy, defining goals and evaluating performance to achieve its aims. We are particularly keen to look for individuals with expertise in the following:
- Growth in income generation and developing commercial and retailing opportunities
- Marketing and communications, strategy development, social media and engaging with the Silent Generation and Baby Boomers, through to Generation X
- Health and Safety
- Human Resources, organisational development and wellbeing
- The law, including charity law and organisational/business law
- Risk management
- The needs, wants and aspirations of older people.
