Community Links

Community Links staff visit people in their own homes to provide information and advice in regards to memory loss, the symptoms of dementia and how to seek help. We will connect you into a network of providers to suit your needs.

Community Links is a free service and offers short term support, both on a one-to-one basis and through group settings. Its aim is to reduce social isolation, promote independence and to boost physical, social and emotional wellbeing. It also helps to build confidence through linking people into positive activities and community settings.

The service offers home visits to assess individual need and to provide person centred information and support. Help is given to people suffering from memory loss in addition to their network of family, friends and carers.

Community Links connects people to local activities and groups as well as Regenerage’s Activity Day Centres Charnley and Withy Trees. Help is also provided to access the centres and staff will accompany people if required.
Community Links also deliver group activities including gentle exercise, dominoes and crafts in addition to supporting existing community led projects. The service will also identify gaps within the local community and through volunteer support create new groups as needed.
